Exhibits

Our House is a very special house where visitors discover the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of another country.

ExploraHouse, home to our world famous giant toilet, is a space to discover the ‘ins and outs’ of a house. Learn about electricity, visit the infrared room, and climb through the chimney to the attic.

Early Childhood Garden is full of the sights and sounds of Indiana wildlife, a child-size camper, and a hollow sycamore tree—the perfect spot for an afternoon story or imaginary play.

Don’t miss our CreekLab Exhibit sponsored by the Clifty Creek/Haw Creek Watershed Project. This creek replica mimics a riffle and pool stream habitat. The aquarium functions as a micro-ecosystem filled with fish and invertebrates found in Indiana creeks and water systems.

Power Outlet is a special computer center that encourages visitors to explore multi-media software for claymation, cartooning, film production and editing, audio recording, and robotics.

Climbing Wall is a one-of-a-kind, 17-foot wall that replicates the front of our building and is designed for ages five through adult. Climbers must be 44 inches tall and have a signed parent/guardian release form.

Bubble-ology – be the bubble while inside our body bubble or try various shaped wands in the big tank. Can you make bubbles that are not round?

Kids-At-Art brings out the creativity in kids of all ages through the use of recycled materials and various art media. Create a masterpiece to take home as a souvenir.

Kids on the Move has interactive components to provide hands-on education about healthy choices for exercise and diet. Get moving at the Lightspace Play Wall, Tug-O-War, Dance! Dance! Dance!, Tour de kidscommons, and Hoop It Up!

Storytelling Kiosk allows visitors to insert their image into a story, leave a message for others about their kidscommons experience, or share an opinion about issues in the community.

Table Top Interactives offer creative exploration for young and old alike.
